My son’s due date was May 4th, but I had to be induced back in March. I’ve been telling myself all sorts of (mean and untrue) stories about what this means about me as a mother.

Aww I love you. Thank you for sharing. I’m sure that was REALLY difficult and I so understand the mean and untrue things we tell ourselves. It’s really wild. Something someone said to me once was “if this happened to your daughter would you say those things to her?” And I was like omg NO EFFING WAY. Invoking the archetype of the Great Mother has been so helpful and healing w this stuff for me!
