Okayyyy confession time. I'm not writing this at a desk. I'm talking it into my phone in the car, right before pickup, and in a little while I'll be home with my kids and snacks will be EVERYWHERE and this post will keep getting built without me sitting at a computer.

That's the whole thing I want to talk about today, bb.

I run my business in pocket hours.
If you're a coach, healer or practitioner whose business only moves when you're at your laptop or live on a call, and your actual life keeps happening in between (kids, pickup, a body that needs rest, a partner you'd like to see sometime this decade 😅), plzzz stay with me.
THIS IS GOING TO CHANGE YOUR EFFING BUSINESS AND LIFE FOREVER (and I don’t say that lightly!!)
I spent YEARS believing I needed long, quiet, uninterrupted blocks to do anything that mattered. And back then, it was TRUE!
I needed to see things on a big screen. I needed to type with alllll my fingers, because my thumbs could NOT keep up with my brain (and trying was soooo overwhelming). Dictation for this kind of work just wasn't a thing yet. And I couldn't get into half the programs I ran my business on from my phone the way I could on a computer. (That part's still true, btw…except now Claude does it for me 🙌🏻)
And honestly? It was SO effing frustrating. 😩
I was always envious of the people who could just knock things out right from their phone, fast, like it was nothing. I genuinely didn't understand how. My brain did NOT work like that.
Trying to do real work on that tiny screen felt like thinking through a keyhole. I needed thinking SPACE.
So the big stuff waited…for a long, quiet, uninterrupted block of time that almost never came.
But that ALL changed with everything I'm about to share right now. ✨

What a pocket hours business is
Pocket hours are the little windows that show up between everything else.
The 45 minutes while the baby naps.
The car ride.
The hour after the kids are home and settled (if you get one at all 🫠)
A pocket hours business is built to run on those windows.
It doesn't need you on back-to-back calls all day, and it doesn't need a perfect run of 5-9 hours of work time that no mom of three I know actually has.
You actively run it in the pockets, and the rest of the time it keeps going without you (IT’S TRULY THE EFFING BEST).

My actual week
Here's what it really looks like right now.
Monday, Wednesday and Friday mornings I'm usually taking kid 3 (my 5-month-old) somewhere. While she naps, for about 45 minutes to an hour, I get my solid work done. That's my deep-work block in the morning. That's IT. 🫠
Then I'm in the car, on the go, blabbing ideas and direction into my phone (like…right now). Then pickup. Then the kids are home and I'm hanging out with them. Then maybe I get an hour to two to sit down and do something while our nanny watches them.
I do NOT work consistent hours. It's squiggly. My brain is squiggly too, so honestly we match.
And even with a nanny, I'm still around a LOT (hi, nursing kid 3 all day 🙋🏻♀️).
On a recent Wednesday I dropped the big kids at school and took kid 3 to a hotel for matcha + "work" (aka walking her around in the stroller and snuggling her 🍵).
In the ONE hour I actually worked, I filmed and posted a reel, finished tweaks on a bio builder I'm making, and dreamed up a brand new online experience (hiiii App Your Magic 👋🏻) AND wrote the whole sales page. 🤯
The rest of the day? Pickup, nap time, baby playtime, lunch, a catch-up call with my sister, 30 minutes in my coach's group program, pickup #2, snacks, a little reading and a bath.
That was a workday. A real one. And the business moved more in that hour than it used to move in a week of calls.

The voice-note era
When I was running Tabwoo Institute (the multi-seven-figure coaching certification school I founded), I was a voice-note MACHINE.
I'm a verbal processor. I think out loud. I hate typing on my phone sooo much. So I'd fire voice notes at my team all day long, and they'd basically say, we love you…but this is confusing. 😂
They had to keep track of all my voice notes and then turn them into action. There were a zillion calls every week where I explained things, and then people spent a zillion hours on menial tasks to make them happen.
And I spent HUNDREDS of hours building our client-tracking system by hand in Notion + ClickUp: client notes, who showed up to calls, what every single student was working on. When former students joined our team and saw the back end, they finally understood why the experience felt so epic.
It worked!! Like sooo well. And I'm proud of what I created…buuuut it also cost sooo many hours, mine and the hours of people I loved working with.

What changed
Now I blab (and blab and blab some more)! 🗣️
Dictation + Claude changed everything for my squiggly brain.
I talk in the pockets (in the car, on a stroller walk, between snack requests) and I can create things, direct things, and say exactly what I need done, and my lil robot goes and does it. Poof. Done!
The voice-note chaos that used to confuse my whole team is now the INPUT. The way my brain naturally works finally has somewhere to land, and I don't need to sit down at the computer to think anymore. I literally dreamed of this years ago. (Like…dreamed dreamed.)

What I've built in pocket hours
Receipts, because you deserve to see the real thing and not a vibe. 🧾 (And yes, I'm about to tease you with every single one of these 😉)

My AI Oracle 🔮
This is the big one. My AI Oracle is basically my whole team…except it's made of AI helpers I built in Claude and trained on MY voice, MY offers and MY rules.
It has five departments (Admin + Ops, Marketing + Social, Sales, Client Experience, Curriculum + IP), and each one has its own helpers. My Hook Huntress writes first lines. My Messaging Magician makes sure everything sounds like me (and not like a robot). My Story Keeper makes sure nothing ever gets made up. They all pull from one source of truth, so when I blab a voice note in the car, the right helper knows EXACTLY what to do with it.
And when one of them gets something wrong? I correct it once, and that correction becomes part of its training. They get better every single week (and the team keeps growing 👀).
This is something I teach inside Method to Your Magic, my three-month experience: how to build YOUR own Oracle around your method, so your business stops depending on you doing everything yourself.

App Your Magic 📱
Remember that matcha hour? This is what came out of it.
App Your Magic is my brand-new course where you build your own magic app in an afternoon. A magic app is a little app made from your method, in your voice, that gives your people a real result on their own (even at 2am while you're fast asleep). Zero code. You go from idea to an app that's live on its own link in about 2 hours.
Inside, I walk you through picking the ONE quick win your app gives her, mapping your method (yes, even if your work is intuitive AF), building it in Claude, putting it on your own link, and adding an invitation at the end so it actually leads her to your next offer.
Doors open Thursday, November 5, and the waitlist gets it first at the $67 beta price (it won't stay this low).

My Bio-to-Buyer Builder ✨
My Bio-to-Buyer Builder is a free little app that writes your Instagram bio WITH you. You answer my 8 V's (the exact framework I use to fix bios with clients), it nudges you to dig deeper when your answers are too vague, and then it writes you 3 bio options from YOUR notes that you can make your own.
Why I made it: so many of the coaches + healers I talk to say a version of the same thing. Her clients LOVE her…and strangers scroll right past her bio. 🫠
It's in beta and I'm making it better every week from real people's feedback, so go play with it and tell me what you think.

My content system 🗂️
Every reel, carousel, Story and email I put out starts as a voice note. My helpers draft it in my voice, it lands in one place in Notion where I can see everything that's coming, and I edit and approve before anything goes out.
This is another thing I teach inside Method to Your Magic.

My client experience 💌
In Method to Your Magic, every client gets her own private HQ that's totally personalized to her, and it updates as she takes action inside the experience. She can see her progress and find everything she needs in one place, and I always have a pulse on where she's at.

How I actually do it
These are the rules I run my pocket hours on.
1️⃣ I only do what lights me up and what ONLY I can do. Everything else gets handled by the systems running in the background. If it doesn't need my brain, my voice or my taste, it doesn't need my pocket hour.
2️⃣ My voice is the input. I don't wait until I'm at my desk to think. I think out loud in the car and the thinking turns into the work.
3️⃣ The strategy is mine; the setup is not. The hundreds of hours at Tabwoo taught me what to track and why, and that part is still me. Building it? That takes a fraction of the time now.
4️⃣ Fewer explain-it calls. I'm not on a zillion calls a week walking people through tasks. I still LOVE a deep call with a client. I just want every call I'm on to be one that actually needs me.
5️⃣ I'll hire, for the high-level stuff. I know I'll bring people on eventually. When I do, it'll be for strategy and creative partnership, not menial tasks that eat someone's whole week.

Your magic, in their pocket
Okay, now let's talk about YOU. 👀
If every result your clients get has to go through you, live, in real time, then your calendar is the ceiling on your business. More clients means more calls. More calls means fewer pockets. And the life you built the business for keeps getting squeezed into whatever's left.

This is why I'm OBSESSED with magic apps right now.
A magic app is a little app built from your method, in your voice, that charms new clients, spoils the ones you have, and keeps working its magic while you're in ceremony, at pickup or fast asleep. Built in Claude, zero code.
It's your magic in their pocket, so you can run your business in yours. ✨
Your client gets a real quick win on her own, any time she needs it. A new person gets a taste of how you work before she's ever met you. And you get your pocket hours back for the deep work only you can do.

Build your own pocket hours business
So where do you want to start, bb? 👇🏻
If you want the WHOLE pocket hours business (your method, your AI Oracle, the client experience, the systems and offers that keep running while you're at pickup), that's exactly what we build together in my three-month program, Method to Your Magic. We start November 11. Hit reply with WORK and I'll send you everything.
If you just want your little magic app first (one piece of your magic, in your voice, working in your clients' pockets while you live your life), is for you. Build it in an afternoon, zero code, live on its own link. Doors open November 5 at the $67 beta price.
And tell me…where are YOUR pocket hours? Car, couch, carpool line? Hit reply, I read every one. 💌
More magic, meaning + mischief,
Lexi
P.S. This entire post started as a voice note in my car before pickup. Sooo…yeah. Proof. 😂
